businessGOVERNMENTsociety
my worst fears have been confirmed. not only is there another university core of "Ethics & Social Responsibility", the current curriculum for BGS in my class seems to be veering absurdly away from the syllabus.

quoting from the curricula:
BUSINESS, GOVERNMENT & SOCIETY
  • Structure and key features of government
  • Representative, responsive and responsible government
  • Different forms of representation
  • Judicial and administrative processes of government
  • Economic-political bodies
  • The corporation, its stakeholders
  • The multinational corporation
  • Government-business relations
  • Business-society relations
  • Environmental issues

- of which, only the highlighted concepts seem to be being covered.

on the other hand, doing the same for the curricula of the other module:
ETHICS & SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
  • Introduction to ethics and social responsibility
  • Moral reasoning and individual's professional ethics
  • Regulatory and legal compliance by businesses
  • Profitability versus corporate responsibility
  • Code of ethics
  • Product responsibility and customer satisfaction
  • Transparency in contract procurement
  • Employee welfare and development
  • Environmental management and standards,e.g. ISO 14000
  • Environmentally-responsible cross-border manufacturing
  • Corporate philanthropy and image

on the ground, i have ABSOLUTELY no idea what is going on because my individual assignment topic is plainly theoretical (aka boring) and my group project topic is overly taxing. omgwtfbbq.
