 | listening to lucinda williams reminds me of tanita tikaram in sentimental with her smoky voice and breezy melodies, albeit with a country undertone. yet her lyrical depression surprisingly moves one to a point of becoming detached and miraculously more joyful as a result; the weight of sadness brings along with it a level of disbelief, and we are thankful it's not happening to us. and if it is, we are thankful we are not alone.
