| blake lewis opened really well with a nontypical american idol performance, but was followed by an entire stream of disappointing acts. sanjaya has this really odd charm which strangely reminds me of kellie's appeal in season five; he doesn't sing as well as the others obviously, but is oddly likeable and has a unique quality to his voice. i think he did alright until he started shouting. john mayer ought to be pissed. i really, really don't like sundance. i like the texture of phil stacey's belting voice, but i think that's about it. chris sligh wasn't phenomenal today but still funny. ryan/simon was funnier, though.
