American Idol Top 11
strangely, i'm disappointed stephanie edwards slipped tonight with the way she enunciated the song. and i used to think i didn't like her.

with "time of the season", blake lewis is all the way up there with the top girls. the song sounded as though it was written for him. but i'm afraid the beatboxing is going to turn stale soon. he needs to rely on his singing once in a while (ref: somewhere only we know).

non-unanimous applauding from the judges for lakisha; she definitely slipped this round. cabaret performance by a big voice.

i'm disliking phil stacey's arrogance, nonchalance and eyebrows.

she took off with "when we hold on together" last week and dazzled again this week. jordin sparks is slowly, but surely surpassing lakisha.

i think sanjaya malakar is a very 'in retrospect' singer. when i first watched his performance i was going OMGWTFBBQ but in retrospect, it was actually pretty okay if you close your eyes. haha but it was really funny that the girl was crying so badly.

you can tell that gina glocksen is trying too hard, and it doesn't really suit her style to come across as being so weak in her self-confidence. but i hope she stays to make it to the top 10 because she's different and better than certain guys.

and then there was MELINDA DOOLITTLE. okay, i'm biased, but for a legitimate reason. i haven't heard anyone sing with as much conviction and feeling on the show. although this isn't my favourite song, it's definitely my favourite performance on american idol since season 4. katharine mcphee's "somewhere over the rainbow" comes close, and that says mucho. oh, and i love that she has straightened her hair. gorgeous :)
