| gina glocksen's performance was awesome, but only because of charlotte's amazing background vocals. 'midnight train to georgia' was good with jasmine trias, great when paris bennet performed it the previous season, and good this time round with lakisha. and obviously therefore, not good enough. melinda doolittle totally pwned the stage tonight! woohoo! most captivating rendition of 'my funny valentine' i've ever heard. you rock girl! antonella barba is seriously setting herself up for the vftw votes, which means we'll see her for a long time. worse than last week, but the falsetto portion was impressive. stephanie edwards dominated the beyoncé song, and that's not necessarily an entirely good thing. it's weird watching two consecutive nights of 'feeling good' performances. this reminds me of the time carrie underwood and anthony federov both sang 'if you don't know me by now' in the same hour. that was a nightmare. but anyway, leslie hunt's performance tonight felt like she was trying her best to differentiate her rendition from aj's, and i think she pulled it off. would've been good if her voice wasn't so shaky (and pitchy at parts) though. but still my favourite voice :) Labels: american idol, tv |
