 | thanks to kevin for providing crucial information, i've finally configured my wmp to display chinese text. yayness! of course, the intermediate steps are long and drawn out (as they usually are in windows fixes) as i scoured the internet for files which are required to complete the installation of asian text support. therefore, this is not recommended unless you have plenty of time to spare or the original windows xp and office xp discs. am now in the midst of composing an alternate speech for my CAAS interview on sunday. i'm surprised the presentation is still on the same boring and impossible topic it was 2 years ago: cite an example of how a challenging experience that you encountered made you a better person. o.0 i am extremely tempted to fail this interview by telling them that there has been no such example and that i was born a "better" person, and not by some single, isolated evolutionary experience. and if i had to present something, it would be nothing more than a blatant lie. scholarship interviews love bullshitters.
